Sorry I had to do it! These two new 8-minute remixes of the classic Japan anthem 'Life in Tokyo' are just too good to resist. 

TBH I wanted them on CD so I can bang it in the player and crank up the volume and revel in the euphoria! Thank you to the remixers who have both done the most amazing job of breathing new life into DS and Gorgio's original breakthrough Japan song.

I'm guessing I'm not alone in wanting a phisical verison of these mixes so here you go, complete with the customary unique R&S cover art and direct-printed CD label.

It's one of our cute 8cm mini-cd eps - which will play on standard CD players and CD drives.

Japan were the essence of cool, and well on their way to conquering the world when the band took to the road for their farewell tour in 1982. 

Fans (including me) couldn't believe that it was the end of the road for one of the most forward-looking and influential bands of the era.

This show is from the European leg of the Sons Of Pioneers world tour in October 1982, when the band was heading across the continent home to the UK, before setting off to the Far East  and Japan for their finale.

It's one of the few soundboard full shows you can get and it includes some awesome tracks.

I reckon this is the best live recording of Japan, and I don't just mean on the bootleg circuit, I mean literally the best live recording!
Recorded on home turf at London's Hammersmith Apollo on the 1981 Polaroids tour, this is the original band at its peak, the perfect look and the best 2 albums under their belts.
The BBC can be relied upon to get a decent recording on tape - and this one has been professionally remastered to improve it even further.
The CD comes with the original Brian Matthew intro, which is totally cringe, but absolutely of its time! Don't miss this show...
