Berlin & Amsterdam, 1980

I couldn't decide which of these great shows to do - Amsterdam is top soundboard quality but only 10 tracks - Berlin is decent-enough sound but the full concert - so it seemed sensible to do both!

1980 - OMD's finest hour by my reckoning - still edgy and experimental, but banging out one great pop song after another - including 'Enola Gay'. The Amsterdam show includes a rare live recording of "The Messerschmitt Twins" to open - but it's missing from the Berlin show - even though the band ran out of songs for the encore and had to repeat 3 songs! - I can't imagine why!! Also both include a typical OMD reworking of the Velvet's "Waiting for the Man".

Both shows have been tidied up and had their levels sorted.
