Lloyd Cole has to be another of Britain's most underrated song writers. He's been knocking out his own brand of unique material for 40 years and he's still going strong (we saw him last year up in Cambridge at the Corn Exchange and he was still excellent).
I also caught him on this 1985 tour with the Commotions - from which this show was recorded. It's classic Cole all the way, when the band were riding high in the charts with hits including 'Rattlesnakes', 'Brand New Friend' and 'Perfect Skin' (all included in the setlist).
The sound quality is excellent and the CD comes with, as usual, newly designed cover and disc art.
