Just before the band dropped the exclamation mark and their lead singer, John Foxx, they were touring with new material (some of which Foxx took with him) and sounding more like the Uvox the world started to embrace a year later. The Foxx sound is more edgy and certainly owes more to the post punk scene than the polished new romanticism that became the bands popular sound for their massive breakthrough.

'Hiroshima Mon Amour', 'Slow Motion' and 'Quiet Man' are the stand out tracks, but it's a fun and interesting show throughout - I have to say I like Foxx's more synthpop vocal style, they give the band a darker, clinical feel.

The sound quality is excellent, and the CD comes with a newly designed cover and disc art.
