THE BLUE NILE
Free Trade Hall, Manchester, 1990
Not the most in-yer-face band of the 80s, uber-stylish The Blue Nile somehow managed to make it through the garish decade almost without trace - except releasing one of the best albums of the period - if not all time.
The Glaswegian trio, infamous for their avoidance of publicity and perfectionism, have only ever released four LPs - and tours were pretty thin on the ground as well!
But if you are in the mood for some cool art pop of the highest calibre, you have come to the right place. Recorded in Manchester just after the release of 'Hats', this show is a delicate testiment to aural beauty. Sit back late at night and enjoy...
The sound quality is excellent and, as usual, the CD comes with unique cover art and directly printed disc art.
