SPARKS
Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins Tour, Schmidt´s Tivoli, Hamburg 1994
LA glam rockers Sparks joined forces with Gorgio Moroder in 1979 for a complete overhaul of the band's sound. What emerged was some beautiful synthpop. The Mael Brothers enjoyed renewed success across Europe with hits including "Number One Song in Heaven" and "Beat the Clock" in the following year.
Sparks stuck with their new direction through to my favourite album Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins in 1994 which introduced a more techno feel. This show sees the brothers return to Germany for a triumphant show in 1994 promoting the release of their 16th studio album.
The sound quality is very good and the CD comes with newly designed cover and disc art.
