XTC
Black Sea Tour, BC University, Victoria, Canada 1980
Andy Partridge and the gang were on the road in 1980 with a worldwide tour on the back of the Black Sea album. The spiky post-punk outfit were gaining a pop fanbase after hitting the charts with "Making Plans for Nigel".
XTC sound great in this show, with plenty of cheeky banter and some great angular pop songs delivered at break-neck speed. I'll always love "This is Pop?" and "Statue of Liberty" as the first album was a Uni favourite!
The sound quality is very good and the CD comes with newly designed cover and disc art.
